Express Yourself This Summer!!

Read, watch movies and play games at the Harbaugh~Thomas Library!

Watch Movies:

· Saturday, June 13, beginning at 2pm: In this big screen version of the stage musical featuring the songs of ABBA, Donna is the mother to Sophie, who's on a quest to discover the identity of her father on the eve of her wedding. This PG-13 movie runs for 108 minutes. No registration is required, but children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

· Saturday, July 11, beginning at 2pm: Based on the Broadway play written by Andrew Lloyd Webber this film tells of a mysterious disfigured musical genius who lives in the catacombs beneath the Paris Opera in the 19^th Century. This 2004 version runs for 143 minutes and is rated PG-13. No registration is required, but children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Play Games:

· Saturday, June 6, from 1pm-4pm: Guitar Hero Jam Session. Bring some friends and spend the afternoon jamming to classic and modern day rock songs. Registration is required. Sign up begins Friday, May 29. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

· Saturday, July 25, from 1pm-4pm: Sing your heart out with some karaoke fun! Registration is required. Sign up begins Friday, July 17. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Be Creative This Summer

Calling all budding artists, share your talent! We are looking for fun and creative art works to display at our end of the summer Artist Showcase. Just follow the guidelines listed below:

· Open to anyone under the age of 19

· Create anything you want!

· Create your own form of art work using any art medium (drawing, painting, mosaic, paper mache, or any kind of art you like).

· Include your name and age with your art work and art work title, if applicable

· Drop off your art work at the Harbaugh~Thomas Library by Monday, July 20 at 6pm for the Artist Showcase; art work dropped off after July 20 or at another library will not be in the Showcase

· Artist Showcase open to the public Tuesday, July 28 and Thursday, July 30 from 5pm-8pm

· Art work may be picked up starting Friday, July 31 during library operating hours

· All who enter will receive a prize

· One entry per person

· The staff of the Harbaugh~Thomas Library reserve the right to exclude or deny entry any art work that may pose a danger to patrons of the library or is not appropriate for public viewing; when in doubt, contact the library
