Teen Book Club

It's that time of year again, when the Gettysburg Library once again starts the Teen Book Club. This year, we will be having two different book clubs.

Both clubs will start in March and run through November and are open to local teens aged 13-18.

One club will be meeting usually the 2nd Monday of each month from 6:00 - 7:00.
The other book club will meet the 1st Thursday of each month from 7:00 - 8:00.

Space is limited in each, so if you're interested, stop by the reference desk at the Gettysburg Library next time you're in and get your name on the list!

Nancy Werlin

Click on the following link to read an interview with YA award-winning author Nancy Werlin. Werlin is the author of such books as The Rules of Survival and The Killer's Cousin. She recently released Impossible, which tells the story of Lucy, a seventeen-year-old who finds out that her family has been cursed by an evil Elfin Knight. She must complete three impossible tasks before the birth of her daughter in order to break the curse and save both of their lives.

Read the interview from teenreads.com here.

By the way, if you haven't read The Rules of Survival, I highly recommend you give it a chance. And if you prefer audiobooks, the library does have it. It's one of my favorite books.

Teen Read Week

It's almost here! It's almost time for Books with Bite. There are programs in the work for Teen Read Week, one that will hopefully have a little surprise attached to it. I'm not going to tell you everything that's planned just yet . . . but keep your calendar free from October 12 - 18. You never know what fun activity might just pop up.
